     The Arts - Museums

    Singapore Art Museum (SAM)

SAM Programmes

Transformed from a 19th-century mission school (St. Joseph's Institution) to a dynamic institution of Southeast Asian contemporary art, Singapore Art Museum's state-of-the-art galleries feature paintings, sculptures and installations drawn from the museum's 5,500-strong permanent collection.

The museum also has touring "blockbuster" shows like the Masterpieces from the Guggenheim Museum and Leonardo da Vinci: Scientist, Inventor, Artist. Since its opening, the Singapore Arts Museum has been stimulating the cultural environment of Singapore and continues to do so with provocative and breathtaking shows.

The Singapore Art Museum is a National Museum and an institution of the National Heritage Board.
