Exhibitions
The Innovation Gallery
Have you visited our Innovation Gallery Yet ? The
Gallery's current exhibition tells the story of how film and the
other performing arts are connected, so if you'd like to know what
Jackie Chan and silent Hollywood movies have in common, or how the
Indian movie Lagann is actually the cousin of a Busby Berkley
musical, do drop by and take a look - it's free but it's only on
for a short while more !
until September 2003
Opera for All
Starting in May, we present an exhibition of 14 exquisitely
hand painted images of characters from famous operas, lovingly
rendered by lawyer turned full time artist, Tam Hoe Yen.
Each drawing is captioned with the story of the character and a
list of suggested listening excerpts. So, if you've always
thought opera was dreary and incomprehensible, Tam's lively works
will reveal that it is, in
fact, just as riveting as your latest blockbuster or most
tear-jerking Chinese Drama Serial.
from May - July 2003.
