Suspension of poultry imports from Malaysia

AVA has concurrently imposed a suspension on imports of poultry and poultry products from Malaysia with immediate effect (18 Aug 2004).

AVA would like to assure the public that poultry and poultry products in Singapore are safe for consumption.

 

 

 

ICA blacklists six Singaporean travel agencies

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has blacklisted six Singaporean travel agencies specialising in the China market because some of the tourists they bring in disappear. The six agencies account for more than half of all the errant tourists from China. Many of the these overstayers are later caught engaging in vice or other crimes here.
