WHAT IS FFTO?

As part of Ecnad’s efforts to identify and develop local talent, Fresh From The Oven (FFTO) is an intensive talent development programme, conducted with a minimum of 3 classes per week - Contemporary dance, Ballet and Composition. Class fees are subsidized, students will be benefit from evaluation and mentorship from Artistic Co-directors and depending on individual progress, talents may be given a chance to perform with the company and it’s production team, e2 in March Spin 2006. The only programme of its kind in Singapore, this is an exciting opportunity for those seeking to raise the caliber of their abilities, or to experience the creative process of preparation and performance with experienced experts in the field of dance.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Prepare your own choreography of 1 -3 minutes.

2. Bring your own music (CD/tape)

AUDITION PROCESS

1. Contemporary Class, 1 hour

2. Present own choreography

3. Interview

 

ABOUT ECNAD (est. 1996)

Known for its striking visuals and quirky approach, Ecnad creates accessible and provocative interdisciplinary dance pieces collaborating with talents working across the artistic landscape. Combining live performance with architecture, film, visual art and original music, Ecnad ventures into new spaces and strives to harness the strengths of art’s other disciplines within the dance experience. 

The company has toured Belgrade, Jakarta, Wellington and Kuala Lumpur, receiving critical and popular accolades. Its community initiatives include educational programmes and local talent development.
