Get for me: The New Portrait Notes Currency Series Permit No: BCCS/11/99/057 Singapore has launched a new series of currency notes called the Portrait Notes. The first portrait is that of our first President, Yusof Bin Ishak. The new currency series has eight denominations: $2, $5, $10, $50, $100, $500, $1000 and $10 000. The design on each denomination carries a different theme linked to Yusof Ishak's life. The new series also sport several new security features to deter counterfeiting: - anti colour copying lines - paper does not reflect ultra-violet light at all - a special denomination numeral which glows brightly under UV light - a Kinegram which is almost impossible to copy For pictures of some of the new notes and a more detailed description of the different themes for the new notes, please visit our Collectibles page.
