ExxonMobil Campus Concerts: Dance Explorations

The month of February sees dance being explored though its many styles and genres in the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts series organised by The Centre for the Arts (CFA), NUS.

From the traditional to the modern, all six dance groups under CFA will take turns to showcase their stunning choreography and fancy footwork.

In addition to these dance performances will be a lunch-time concert by The Piper's Guild @ NUS providing enjoyable easy-listening early music for patrons at Dome Kent Ridge.

Evocation by NUS Dance Ensemble

Evocative. Effusive. Experimental. A platform for aspiring choreographers, Evocation promises to offer the integrity and raw passion that NUS Dance Ensemble is known for. Presenting an eclectic mix of theme, style and genre, Evocation will be a delight for all dance lovers.

Walk through life's journey with a mix of NUS Dance Synergy's famous repertoire and original choreographies by two of their senior members.

Cultural Exposé by IIsa Tari, NUS Chinese and Indian Dance

Discover your cultural identity from original works by Chinese choreographers, Ding Hong and Lee Pang Luan; Malay dance choreographies infused with Arabic influences and Indonesian martial arts by Osman Hamid and experience the richness of Indian dance by cultural medallion winner, Santha Bhaskar.

Enjoy medieval, renaissance and baroque music at this informal café session by The Piper’s Guild! One of the few ensembles in South-East Asia committed to historically informed performances, it improvises and composes its own music faithful to the style and sound of these periods.
