This is just what private banking is all about - privileged banking! Please do not confuse this form of privileged banking with the the standard Privilege Banking Account some well-heeled customers of banks are privy to, just because they have a few hundred thousand dollars in the bank. Privileged Banking Account holders do not need to queue up at the bank when they are there to make a transaction. A special reception counter is set up to provide fast banking for them. However, Private Banking customers do not even have to step into the bank - some, especially movie stars, do not wish to be seen in banks at all.
Private Banking membership is usually for those with five million dollars and above for the Private Banker to manage. Not anyone can join the club - you need to be invited to join! There are some banks here with Private Banking units, such as DBS Bank.
