New ERP e-Payment Option by Credit Card Offers
Motorists Added Convenience |
|
|
From 5 November 2008, motorists will have an
alternative mode of payment for ERP charges via their Visa / MasterCard
credit cards. |
The partnership between LTA and DBS Bank as
the payment partner for the service allows motorists who subscribe to
the new credit card scheme to be able to use all Visa / MasterCard
credit cards from any bank of their choice to pay their ERP charges
through their monthly credit card bills. |
This new scheme, which has a monthly
subscription fee of $2.50, benefits motorists who may forget to
insert their CashCards in their in-vehicle units (IU) or may not
have the time to top-up their CashCards when the card balance is
low. |
Motorists who wish to enjoy the new credit
card scheme, must first subscribe online to the scheme via the
One.motoring or MotorPay websites at
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg
and http://www.motorpay.com.sg
respectively. |
Motorists who have subscribed will receive
an email notification within three to seven working days to inform them
of the outcome of their application. The e-Payment option by credit card
can only be used once they receive the email notification that their
application is successful. Please refer to Annex A for more details on
the application process. |
Those who are successful in their
application will no longer need to insert their stored-value CashCards
into the IU when they drive through ERP gantries as the ERP charges
incurred will be charged to their monthly Visa / MasterCard credit card
bills. However, they can still choose to pay the ERP charges using their
stored-value CashCards, if they wish to, by having a CashCard inserted
into the IU. Such ERP transactions incurred will be excluded from the
monthly credit card bills. |
Jeremy Soo, Managing Director and Head
of DBS Consumer Banking Group, Singapore, said, "Our partnership
with LTA reinforces our commitment to provide convenience to our
customers with innovative modes of e-payment. Online or offline, we
are offering comprehensive e-platform bill payment options through
DBS iBanking and AXS Stations. MotorPay for ERP charges is yet
another service DBS is proud to add to the suite." |
LTA Chief Executive, Mr. Yam Ah Mee,
said, "This scheme offers motorists a broader range of e-payment
channels. LTA will continue to develop innovative means for
e-payment channels for the convenience of motorists. Fleet owners
such as delivery companies and other registered motorists will also
be able to enjoy the convenience of not having to search for top-up
machines, thus saving valuable time for their operations." |
