     Local Talents - Drama/Play/Theatre

      LEE Wai Ying  -  Performer/Puppeteer

 

 

A LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts diploma holder in fashion design, Wai Ying’s theatre involvement started as early as 1990 when she participated in the Young People’s Theatre’s Wizard of Oz (Missoula Theatre, USA).

Recognising her talent and potential, TAN Beng Tian invited her to join The Finger Players in 1997. Her acting stints include Posteterne, Play.Back (Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble, 1996) and Medea (Amp-Theatre, 1998).

She was also involved in Touch the Moon (Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble, 1996), Hedda Gabler (Amp-Theatre, 1996), Mr. Beng (Drama Box, Singapore Arts Festival, 1999) and Recital of Beings (A TCS telemovie, 1999) as a costume designer.
