Singapore celebrates her 41st birthday this
year. Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents can apply for
this year¨s National Day Parade (NDP) tickets from 12 noon on Thu, 25
May 2006 till 11 pm on Sun, 4 Jun 2006 through telephone, Short Message
Service (SMS), the NDP website, AXS stations and SAM machines. (The
location of these terminals can be found on
www.axs.com.sg and
www.singpost.com.sg
respectively.) |

Selection will be done through an electronic
ballot as it is more efficient and this has been well received by the
public in the past few NDPs. |
|
Each person is entitled to only one
application. The application can be for two, four or six tickets. The
probability of success is proportionately higher for those who apply for
fewer tickets. Applicants can choose to apply for tickets to the Preview
on Sat, 29 Jul 2006 or for the NDP on Wed, 9 Aug 2006. |
|
After the close of application, a ballot
will be conducted in the presence of auditors from KPMG. Successful
applicants will be notified by telephone between Fri, 16 Jun 2006 and
Fri, 23 Jun 2006. They can collect their tickets at ｀The Pavilion on the
Square' at Far East Square from 10 am to 8 pm daily from Sat, 24 Jun
2006 to Sun, 2 Jul 2006. |

NDP 2006 tickets can also be won through
contests on the NDP website and in the local print and broadcast media. |
