The Neptune restaurant closes for good at
the end of today's dinner function. |
The restaurant is located on the
seventh floor of Overseas Union House at Collier Quay. The
building will be demolished and a new 18-storey office building
will be erected in its place by late 2009. |
The 1,500-seat theatre restaurant was
opened in 1972.1 |
In 1986, it added topless dancing into
its performances.1 |
The Neptune, which is run by Meritus
Hotels and Resorts, is the biggest Chinese restaurant in town.
Besides providing banquet services for private functions in the
evenings, it also serves a la carte Cantonese dishes, such as Dim
Sum at lunchtime.2 |
