About SSC
The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) is Singapore's lead agency tasked
with developing sports in Singapore. Our vision is to create a
Sporting Singapore where Sports is a way of life. SSC aims to
develop sports champions and create enjoyable sporting experiences
for Singapore through the three strategic thrusts of cultivating a
sporting culture, achieving sports excellence and creating a vibrant
sports industry. Formed on 1 October 1973, SSC is a statutory board
under the purview of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth
and Sports.
About Sports Hub
The Sports Hub will be a fully integrated sports, entertainment and
lifestyle hub for everyone in Singapore. A unique cluster
development of world-class sports facilities next to the city, it is
the first and largest sports facilities infrastructure
Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) project in the world and is also
Singapore's largest and flagship PPP project of this nature. The
35-hectare development is conveniently located next to the city and
is easily accessible to the rest of Singapore. It will be connected
to the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network and major expressways.
